Our mission; Using the Bible as our sole authority, is to show God’s love by serving the community, leading them to obey Jesus, and strengthening the church family.

Greetings all in the name of our savior the Lord Jesus Christ,
I must apologize for the time that has passed since our last update, we have continued to be blessed that we are active and growing. Our emphasis continues to be on personal and small group studies that we all may continue to grow in Christ likeness. At present we have five (5) small group studies in place and others will soon be starting. We have found that these small group studies present a wonderful atmosphere for learning, fellowship, and growth. So we are actively trying to get all members on board with these groups.
As we are closing the year out we are finishing our “One Year Bibles” (a gift from TX thank you). All of us have been reading the Bible trough in a year and it has done wonders for us as a family and as individuals in the body of Christ. The “spiritual growth” of our family here is plain to see and wonderful, God has truly blessed our efforts to read His Word. This past year we had lessons, studies and sermons that were from our recent readings to help re-enforce what each of us had read during the last week or so. We felt that there was so much benefit from our reading that we are going to read through again in a different Bible, we are asking the members to purchase a copy of F. LaGard Smith’s The Daily Bible, so we can all read through together again. This time only some of our lessons and studies will be from our reading which brings us to our next point.
We have chosen a theme and curriculum for 2010 our overall theme is “Reach”. The first quarter will be “Reach Up”, the Old Testament prophets and the lessons they teach about a proper relationship with and proper worship of God. The 2nd quarter will be “Reach Over” the Gospels and the responsibility we have to share the Gospel and the teaching and tools Jesus and the Apostles used in spreading the Good News to the individual right next to them. The 3rd quarter will be “Reach Out” the Life and Teachings of Jesus and Acts, reaching into a world and our community that so desperately needs Jesus as a Savior. The 4th and last quarter will be “Reach In” we will be studying the epistles that as we know teach us so very much about the strengthening and encouragement of the church family. There will also be a recycling fundamentals class of twelve lessons for the newer members of our family, as they reach the 12th week they will join the regular Bible study program. We are all excited and are very much looking forward to our up coming year and new curriculum, we are certain that God and His Son will bless us again.
Just to hit some of the high lights of the past year we will share some of our activities that our Savior has blessed us with: We had the privilege of speaking at the TN Bible College Lectureships this year, it was a wonderful experience, thank you. The Margaret St. Church of Christ from Milton, FL generously and diligently helped us to get the word out about our VBS this year, they were a HUGE help and we covered all of Lewistown and they helped with some work at the building we offer prayers of gratitude for hands so willing to work. Speaking of hands willing to work the Sojourners were in this year as well. They worked hard on our facility and with our church family, to them also a heart felt thank you! Our VBS had around 70 different children and about 30 families were represented, over all a success for our Lord, thank you to all who took part before, during, and after. In August while the Nilram family vacationed we also had the honor of speaking to the adults during the Kent County Church of Christ VBS this year in Aug. it was an honor to be a part, thank you for the opportunity. In Sept. we hosted the annual “Goose Day Horse Show” and we raised $1,500 for camper-ships at Camp Manatawny, so that children can attend camp this summer, God just keeps blessing our family here, it was a wonderful time of fellowship for all, and kids get to go to camp. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. In Oct. we hosted the annual Sunset “Leaders and Wives Retreat” we had several fine brotherhood speakers, a wonderful banquet, and over seventy people in attendance representing about twenty churches. If you missed it you missed a great time of fellowship with a focus on leadership and raising new leaders for His glory. Last but not least some of us attended the Falls Church Men’s retreat in November, if you have never been you are missing something special and should check into going next year. Well there have been other activities and events that we have been blessed to be a part of but these should give you an idea of how richly God has blessed us since our last letter.
We are enclosing our calendar of events for 2010, if you can join us please feel free, if you contact us first we should be able to house you during your visit. We would welcome the opportunity to show you, all that God has done here in Lewistown. Please consider this an open invitation to join us.
To all that have supported us, continue to support us, and that will support us, thank you we could not have done it with out God’s blessing to us, you and your love, and your work, and your prayers, and yes your money. Thank you, what you do and give makes a difference in many lives here in Lewistown, PA.
As a side note my wife Dawn will be leaving her job to attend a one year nursing program here in Lewistown (Sept. 2010), so that we can continue to serve our Lord and the church family here. Our finances will be greatly strained during this time and we are trying to raise additional support for the one year that she will be attending school, any thing we can raise will be used to purchase (continue our present coverage) medical insurance. Although we know that the year she is in school will be a challenge for us we can plainly see the enormous benefit it will bring to our ability to serve here in Lewistown. If you can help or know of someone who can, a one time gift or monthly support for the year would be very helpful. As we trust in God we will move forward in our efforts to serve Him and His Glorious Son.
I know for some of you this is your favorite part of our newsletters, your new family in Christ since our last letter: Frank and Francine S., Tim S., Manda B., Troy B., Christine S., Bryson H., Sandy S., Joey A., and Cindy C. all were baptized into Christ and forgiven of their sins by the love of God through the grace found in our Lord Jesus and His most Holy name!
As always thank you all for your love support and prayers, we need them and they are working for the advancement of the Kingdom of Christ. Our love and prayers are with you all.

In His Service,
Robert, Dawn, and Isaiah Nilram
And Addie too
