HIS LOVE
The second dimension. Another level. Crucial facts to comprehend. Don't stop short of this phase. Sound vague and confusing?
Here's the point: Jesus loves us enough to take us as we are, but He loves us too much to leave us where He finds us! As in all cases of His becoming involved in the lives of those in sin, the outcasts, the sick, the captives, the backsliders, the religious bigots - you name it, He was always willing to start where people were, but He never left people as He found them. This hasn't changed.
Has that been your experience? What difference has Jesus made in your life? Are you just like you were before you met Him? Has there not been a change in you? If not, why? Is it because He doesn't care or has nothing to offer you? Or is it because you have stubbornly rejected His presence and His new path and direction for your life?
He loves us all with a sameness and an equality. We all share that in Him. However, that mutual and fair love that He offers, will not leave us as He finds us. He shares His grace with us and wants to forgive us and lead us to a different level of existence. (Titus 2:11,12) Whether this is the result is entirely up to us. His part in this change is established and working for and with us. The only thing that may cause this to fail is our stubborn will and negative response to His reaching out to us.
